Abraham’s ABC Game
Now about the game. It’s pretty straight-forward. Start at the top with the letter A. Got it? A as in “apple” or “ambush” or “aborigine”. But here is the trick. Don’t just throw yourself at the first A-word you think of like I just did. No, be a little more careful and choose one that feels bright to you. One that makes you tingly when you think about it. Maybe it is “aborigine”! Or maybe it’s “alive” or “amazement” or… Your turn!
What’s next? The letter Q! Joking. I was just making sure you’re still awake. Ooooh “awake”! Could that be a possible A-word? Ok, stop distracting me—we’re done with A. Next is the letter B. What B-word makes you feel good when you think about it? “Blossom”? “Breathe”? “Blessings”? Are you feeling better already? I know I am. I feel like a helium balloon getting pumped with air each time I think of a new word. How about “burstingwithhappiness”? Oh, that’s not a real word? Well, so what? I say imaginary words count too. As long as they make you feel AWESOME when you think about them. Oooooh! That’s an excellent A-word if you say it really loud. Try it!
Something else to keep in mind. When you find a word you like, get into the feeling of it before moving on. This is a game but not a race! The point is to build up good feelings and make them solid which is hard to do if you jump around like a headless chicken.
Well, that’s basically it—the ABC Game. You just keep going until you reach the end of the alphabet OR… You just can’t stand it anymore and you’ve got to get up and do your happy dance.
